Elkhorn Tavern/ Lexington, KY

I have visited Elkhorn Tavern in the Distillery District of Lexington, KY a few times and have enjoyed bourbon tours, flights and a plethora of their food options. The Distillery District, a historic landmark, is in downtown Lexington and consist of 25 acres. Interestingly, Barrel House Distillery is attached to Elkhorn Tavern.

During this visit, I tried the Barrel House Flight which included the Barrel House Select Bourbon, Oak Rum, RockCastle Bourbon Distillers Cut, and RockCastle KY Straight Bourbon. My favorite pour was the furthest to the left, the Barrel House Select Bourbon.

Overall, Elkhorn Tavern is a great spot for chilling, speakeasy vibe, live music on the weekends, and is in Distillery District which allows you to grab a pizza or ice cream, coffee.
